Veranera Hostel has the following check-in and check-out times and policies:
- Reception Hours - 9:00 am - 9:00 pm.
- Check-in Time - 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
- Check-out Time - 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
Late check-in is possible for bookings of more than one night and fully prepaid. Please contact us in advance to arrange this. If you arrive before the check-in time, you can store your luggage at our reception and use Veranera Hostel’s facilities starting at 9:00 am. Please inform us in advance of your estimated arrival time.
After check-out, you can leave your luggage with us and use the common areas until 9:00 pm.
Rates and Cancellation Policies:
STANDARD RATE:
- Cancellation: You can cancel free of charge up to 3 days before arrival. If you cancel within 3 days prior to arrival, the cost of the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, a penalty equal to the cancellation cost will apply.
- Prepayment: The cost of the first night will be charged within 3 days prior to arrival.
- Bookings exceeding €500: For high-value bookings in shared dorms, 50% will be charged at the time of booking and the remaining 50% seven days before check-in. Both payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation.
- Bookings exceeding 10 nights: For bookings longer than 10 nights, a pre-authorization for the value of the first night will be made at the time of booking.
NON-REFUNDABLE RATE:
- Cancellation: In case of cancellation, modification, or no-show, the total price of the booking will be charged.
- Prepayment: The total price will be charged at the time of booking

All discounted bookings made with a promotional code are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Required documentation at check-in:
To access the hostel, it is mandatory to present a valid bank card (more information in the "Payments" section below), provide full residential address details, and present one of the following documents:
- For Spaniards: DNI, passport, or driver’s license.
- For citizens of the European Union, Andorra, Iceland, Switzerland, Norway, Malta, Monaco, and San Marino: Passport, ID card, or national identity document.
- For other nationalities: Passport, valid Spanish residence permit for foreigners residing in Spain, or residence permit from another EU Member State.
Stag and Hen Parties:
We do not accept bookings for bachelor/bachelorette parties. Veranera Hostel reserves the right to deny entry to any person who has made a booking and/or is part of one.
Groups:
For groups of more than 6 people, special rates and policies apply. Please contact us via email at info@veranerahostel.com to learn more. Veranera Hostel reserves the right to reject group bookings made without prior notice.
Entire Room Reservations:
If traveling with family or friends, we will do our best to accommodate them in the same shared dorm, but we cannot guarantee it. To ensure you stay together, we suggest booking an entire dorm.
Payment:
We accept payments in cash, bank transfers, or card: VISA or Mastercard. To be valid, the card must have 16 digits and be a physical card. We do not accept American Express, Diners Club, virtual cards, or cards with fewer/more digits or letters in their numbering. If the card used for the booking does not match the guest’s name, we will request a copy of the card and an identity document of the cardholder. If this documentation is not provided, the guest must pay for their stay with their own card.
Rules During the Stay:
- Access Token - In case of loss or failure to return the room access token, a fine of €15 will be charged.
- Maximum room capacity: Each reserved bed in a shared dorm is for one person only, and each private room is for a maximum of two people (both must be registered in our system). Violations will result in a fine of €50.
- Hygiene and additional cleaning - If additional cleaning is required in either common areas or the room due to the guest’s actions, a fine of €50 will be charged. The use of your own sleeping bag or bedding is strictly prohibited, with a fine of €50.
- Air Conditioning - Each room has its own temperature control as well as air conditioning settings (heating/cooling mode and power). It is prohibited to leave the air conditioning on with the window or door open.
- Smoking - Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms, the interior patio, the staircase, or any other space in Veranera Hostel except the rooftop. Violations will result in a fine of €50.
- Alcohol Consumption - Alcohol is not served to guests under 18. Alcohol is available at the bar and can only be consumed on the rooftop. Guests are allowed to bring their own alcohol for consumption in the kitchen or dining area; in this case, only wine or beer is allowed (high-alcohol content drinks are not permitted). It is forbidden to store or consume alcohol inside the shared dorms. Violations will result in a fine of €50.
- Drug Use - Drugs are illegal in Spain. If any guest consumes drugs anywhere in the building, they will be asked to leave the premises and a fine of €50 will be charged. No refunds will be issued.
- Towels - Shower and beach towels are available for rent. White towels are for internal use only. If used at the beach or pool, a fine of €50 will be charged. Hostel towels cannot be taken without reception’s permission; violations will result in a €50 fine.
- Rooftop/Pool - Glass or sharp objects are prohibited on the rooftop to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of guests and staff. Violations will result in a fine of €50.
- Personal Belongings - Each bed in the shared dorm is assigned a locker for storing valuables. Veranera Hostel is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage to guests’ belongings. We recommend guests use a padlock to secure their personal items in the locker. If you do not have one, you can purchase one at reception.
- Silence - Silence is mandatory from 11:00 pm to 10:00 am. Violations will result in a fine of €50.
- Visitors - Visitors must present valid identification at reception before entering the property and are only allowed in the common areas of the hostel from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Visitors are not allowed in the rooms or outside of the permitted hours. Violations will result in a fine of €50.
- Pets - Pets are not allowed inside the hostel.
- Resolution of disputes/problems and damage to Veranera Hostel property - Any guest who, in our staff's opinion, compromises the comfort or safety of other guests, staff, or neighbors will be fined €50 for misconduct. In severe cases, the guest will be asked to leave the premises, and no refunds will be issued. Guests causing damage due to inappropriate behavior will be charged the cost of repairs plus a €50 fine.
- Discretion - All bookings are subject to availability, and Veranera Hostel reserves the right to deny any booking at its discretion.
